1. Will I be charged monthly?
No, you will be charged a one-time fee for the license.
2. Are there any per-minute charges for using automatic transcription?
No. Once you have a valid InqScribe license, you can transcribe unlimited minutes at no extra cost.
3. How long does my license last?
This depends on the type of license you purchase.
- Lifetime License: A lifetime license entitles you to two years of free updates. After that point, you can continue to use any version of InqScribe released during the two-year update period forever. If you would like to continue to receive updates beyond the two year period, you can upgrade at a discount.
- 10-day License: A 10-day license entitles you to use InqScribe for 10 days. This is not a subscription and does not renew. After 10 days, you will need to purchase a new license.
4. Can I install on multiple computers?
You can install a single InqScribe license on one laptop and one desktop computer so long as you are the only user.
5. What is this FS* InqScribe charge on my credit card?
FastSpring handles our payments for us. When you buy InqScribe, the charge on your credit card should appear as "FS* InqScribe".

6. What is "FastSpring"?
FastSpring is the company that handles our payments for us. Technically they are our Merchant of Record (MoR) and you are buying from them. They handle a wide variety of payment formats and currencies.

7. Do you accept Purchase Orders?
Yes, we accept purchase orders. The procedure depends on your payment method.
- Credit Card: The easiest way to make a purchase order is via credit card.
- If you are requesting a discount, please do so before starting the purchase process. See Discounts. Continue once you have received the discount code.
- Visit Pricing and click the "Buy Now" option.
- Choose the number of seats you would like to purchase.
- If you have a coupon/discount code, enter it now and click "Apply"
- At the top of the checkout page, there is an option to "Generate a Quote". The total price should update. If the price does not show a discount, please verify the discount code.
- Enter your information, and click "Generate"
- This then generates a quote/invoice, you can either:
- Click "Accept & Continue" this takes you to a popup page where you can pay...
- Or, if you need to generate an invoice for approval or offline payment, click you can download or print that invoice (there is a download icon in the top right corner)
- The invoice contains the necessary payment info, which is handled via our third-party payment processor, FastSpring. FastSpring provides a link to a W9 form, etc.
- Once you have paid FastSpring, we will receive a notification and issue you your license activation code(s).
- Institutional Sales (Check/Wire Transfer): If you are purchasing for an institution that requires a PO, invoice, Net terms, or AP vendor onboarding, please note that FastSpring is our merchant of record for these transactions. In FastSpring’s model, FastSpring purchases the product from us and resells it to the end customer. That means FastSpring handles the transaction, invoicing, and payment processing for these purchases. The proper thing to do is to contact FastSpring at b2b@fastspring.com to set up FastSpring as the merchant of record. After your institution is set up with FastSpring, you can purchase licenses via our website as usual using the quote/invoice feature as noted above. Contact support if you have any questions.

Any recent model computer (Mac or Windows) will run InqScribe. Please see the full technical requirements.
